Santiago

This was my second trip to this engaging city (see March 12, 2017 post), and I was able to visit the fabled Concha y Toro winery, founded in 1883 and the oldest in Chile.

                                                                Beautiful vineyards

The estate is relatively small, but the winery controls thousands of hectares throughout Chile.

The original home is a national landmark

Ready to enjoy King Crab at the Mercado Central--I ordered a medium!!

The Metropolitan Cathedral on the Plaza de Armas is beautiful

Many colonial-era buildings line the Plaza de Armas

                                                              Presidential Palace

As on the prior trip, Santiago is a city to savor, with a rich history and a vibrant present!
