The Logan Botanic Garden, one of four major gardens operated by the National Botanic Gardens of Scotland, features a beautiful walled garden. Other outdoor displays and a greenhouse feature Southern Hemisphere plants, which thrive due to the warming effect of the North Atlantic Drift, a continuation of the Gulf Stream.
Portpatrick is a charming resort town with a small harbor, shops, and a few restaurants on the waterfront.
We returned to Dublin, via a flight from Glasgow, and spent the last morning enjoying a stroll through St. Stephen's Green.
Residents have ambled through this park since 1880, and it was fitting that several Irish Greyhounds were on a walk the day of our visit.
